This course is run concurrently with Under 18s in one studio and adults in another studio.
For example, while the Under 18s are working on screen with Becky Rossmaur in Studio 1, the adults will be working on theatre auditions with Chloe Blake in Studio 2.
Welcome to our two-day intensive acting for screen course taking place at the Old Diorama Arts Centre.
Led by seasoned casting professionals across the two days:
Becky Rossmaur - Becky is currently working as Casting Associate for Andy Pryor Casting (Doctor Who, The Winter King & The Devil’s Hour), and has previously worked at Lucinda Syson Casting and Jina Jay Casting; well known for their work across Film and TV. Prior to Jina Jay Casting, Becky worked in Commercial casting with Lesley Beastall on various commercial projects. Becky’s most recent credits include Doctor Who (BBC & Disney +), The Diplomat (Netflix), The New Look (Apple TV), Aquaman 2, Foundation (Apple TV), Black Mirror (Netflix), Temple (SKY), Dune and Enola Holmes (Legendary Pictures) and many others.
Chloe Blake - Chloe studied Acting at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
After graduating Chloe worked as a project co-ordinator in theatre production before moving to London and becoming an agents assistant at ARG. Chloe then worked in commercials before moving into casting.
They have worked for the Casting department at The National Theatre for two and a half years, assisting on productions including Under Milk Wood, Hex and The Curious Incident of the Dog In The Night Time. Chloe just cast Barrier(s) in the Dorfman Theatre and also does freelance casting work.
They also have many years of experience as a workshop leader with Youth Theatre’s and LAMDA exam tutor.

Day One: Script Exploration and Mock Auditions
Participants will dive into the world of acting with hands-on, practical experience in working on scripts and engaging in mock auditions. Becky Rossmaur and Chloe Blake will share their expertise, providing invaluable insights and guidance to help participants elevate their performances.
Interim Session: Script Finesse
After a day of intensive training, participants will have the opportunity to finesse their scripts, applying the feedback and techniques learned on day one. This personal touch ensures growth and improvement tailored to each individual's strengths and areas for development.
Day Two: Filming with Professional Videography
The highlight of the course is day two, where participants will bring their refined scripts to life on screen. With the support of a professional videographer, they will have the chance to showcase their skills and capture compelling footage. This recorded material can be used as a powerful addition to their showreels or as a standout portfolio for interactions with casting directors and agents.
Finale: Q&A Sessions with Industry Professionals
The course concludes with a Q&A sessions featuring industry experts, Bex Elliff (Agent at CAM) & Faye Timby (Casting Director / Casting Associate with Sophie Holland). Parents and students alike will have the opportunity to gain invaluable insights into the entertainment industry and receive answers to their burning questions.
